Surrounded by bright, fun images, children need to determine which word starts with the sound on the mat making them ideal for children who are familiar with the first 26 letter sounds and need to practice differentiating between beginning sounds in words.
Add counters to mark each choice before choosing a new mat. Answer cards have also been included to make using them as an independent center even easier!
Or use the self-checking, interactive digital BOOM CARDS™ version. They simply need to click and drag a colored counter across to the matching word then they can check their work.
